Shark Cage training in sunny Queensland

What a fantastic two weeks we have had connecting with Queensland organisations.  We delivered Shark Cage training to the very skilled workers at the Domestic Violence Action Centre and other local professionals who are making such a difference to women in their community who are struggling with the impacts of past or present family violence.

We also trained mental health workers at NEAMI National, who see the correlation between abuse and mental health issues daily and provide much needed support to those impacted by family violence and/or sexual assault and mental health issues.

We then connected with Jane from Intensive Family Support at Hervey Bay community centre who was due to run a condensed Shark Cage day program for women the very next day but was running short on mural shapes.  It was a one in a billion chance that we happened to be in Hervey Bay when she called and were able to zip round and donate mural pieces, we had with us for her program the next day.

Thank you to Queensland, and particularly the Domestic Violence Action Centre and NEAMI National for hosting Shark Cage trainings and sharing the important work that you do with us.  You made us feel so welcome and we hope to visit again soon.
